In Connection step of the source creation wizard, specify how to connect to the data source to import the data. Pega Process Mining supports several connector types and also provides a way to add a new connector.

The icons on this tab correspond to the existing connector types. Clicking one of these icons updates the list to display choices that are specific to the connector.

The Pega icon is automatically selected when you land on the Connection tab. Pega Process Mining uses Pega connectors to get data from Pega applications and products.
As shown in the following figure, you can use the example in the list to build a connector for a Pega application or click the icon for a different connector type:
The Connection tab provides fields that you can use to add new connector as an alternative to using an existing connector.

Select from a list of existing databases or use the fields provided to configure the connection parameters according to the adapter type. For example, if created, you can select a Snowflake JDBC connector from the list, as shown in the following figure:

The number 3 in a circle. File connector
The following connectors are available for files:
  • XLSX
  • JSON
  • XML
  • CSV
  • XES

The file size limit for this source type is 100 GB.

The following figure provides an example of the options when you select the CSV file connector type:
When the CSV file connector is selected, the system displays the Choose File and Charset fields.

You can connect to web services and CData connectors. The following figure shows examples of saved CData connectors that are available for selection:

During source creation, the Connection step displays the CData tab to show all configured CData connectors.

The number 5 in a circle. Utility
The Utility icon provides access to the Source Transformation Tool and Columns Transformation Utility. These options provide ways for you to create a new source by altering or combining existing sources. For example, you can merge two existing data sources to create a new data source.
