A data source controls the data ingestion in Pega Process Mining and represents an event log inside the application. Sources provide the necessary data for several analyses pages and calculations in the application.

Supported data sources

Pega Process Mining supports data ingestion from many different types of sources, such as databases, applications, and files.

Accessing Sources

Only users assigned to the Power User role and higher can access and work with sources. After clicking Control Panel, the navigation pane displays the Sources option, as shown in the following figure:

Clicking Sources in the navigation pane displays the Data Sources page, where you can view basic details about existing sources, such as Status, and edit or delete existing sources. On this page, you can also open a wizard to create a new data source by clicking Add New Source, as shown in the following figure:
