To predict when open Cases will end, Pega Process Mining requires a prerequisite task during View creation. Learn how to enable predictive analysis during View creation.

In the Advanced Properties step of View creation, the creator must define one or more activities as end states by selecting activities that should be the final step of a Case:

Selecting activities that represent final steps in a Case.

The system considers all Cases that already reached an end state as finished and uses these finished Cases to generate the prediction model.

When you run a View for which final activities are defined, the Analyses navigation pane displays a Predictive menu option. The following figure shows how to verify if Predictive analysis is enabled or not:

If Predictive analysis is enabled, the menu pane displays the Predictive option with Case Duration.

Verifying that Predictive analysis is enabled

If you do not see Predictive on the Analyses navigation pane, check with your system administrator or the View creator.
