Merging new Alerts and Visualizer

Pega Alert and Investigation Management (AIM) automatically merges new alerts into an ongoing investigation and notifies investigators. In this topic you explore how AIM seamlessly integrates new data and makes connections visible through powerful visualization tools.

Transcript

While Carl continues his research, new alerts arrive from the transaction monitoring system. Some of the alerts are tagged as related to Carl's active case, and the system automatically merges these to the case. The new alerts are displayed in the Alerts list, and the counts in the left pane tabs are updated accordingly.

Carl clicks Visualizer, and this proves invaluable for making connections. The system already added the content of the new alerts and by adjusting the filters, Carl can see the flow of funds between accounts or subjects.

Carl determines that cash has flowed to Dawn Summer's account, and joint account holder William Hang has sent those funds through two intermediary entities to First Dutch Investments. He previews the profile for First Dutch Investments and sees that the name Earl Jackson appears as a beneficial owner. With Earl Jackson depositing some of the original funds but also being a KYC-significant party of First Dutch Investments, Carl concludes that a report must be filed with the local regulator.

In the Conclusion section, Carl selects Confirm for the remaining alerts, and in the Rationale section, he selects Large cash activity identified. With all alerts confirmed, for the Decision option he selects Finalize investigation and then clicks Submit to proceed.
