Rule Manager Studio

To meet your business needs, you can modify the KYC Types as defined out of the box or create new ones. You can access the KYC Types from Dev Studio.

However, you can reach the KYC Types through the Rule Manager Studio, which is exclusive to CLM. The workspace offers an easy, transparent, and user-friendly overview of the KYC Types and their segregation from regulation and geographical points of view, as shown in the following figure:

Several features of the KYC Type are configurable, such as applicability logic, pre-data, post-data transforms, the items, and item groups that compose the questionnaire. Users can configure these features manually or by using the Import functionality.

With the Import functionality, users can create the items and rules of the KYC Type that support business requirements by starting from a workbook template in a CSV format. The system consumes almost all the input in the workbook automatically for the KYC Type creation, except for residual aspects that require manual intervention (for example, when the display condition of an item depends on the answer provided to an item in another KYC Type). The imported questionnaire is then directly visible on the UI.

You can also export questionnaires Rule Manager Studio to inspect their content. With this functionality, users can extract key information about the KYC Type and save it in a CSV format, where it is easier to read and assess all items and related business rules the KYC Type contains compared to seeing it on the UI.

Rule Manager Studio provides:

  • Configurability of rules with zero coding.
  • Full auditability and control of versions.
