Scenario
U+ Bank wants to allow customers to manage their checking accounts, savings accounts, and credit cards with a Pega Platform™ application, U+ Personal Banking Account Management. You, an application developer, have been tasked with building a Case Type for the application with a Case Life Cycle, basic Data Model, and relevant Personas by using Pega GenAI™ Autopilot.
Your assignment consists of the following tasks:
Task 1: Create the Case Type, Case Life Cycle, and Data Model
Create a new Case Type for the application with a Case Life Cycle and basic Data Model by using Autopilot.
Autopilot can provide different suggestions each time based on the input and context.
Task 2: Add Data Records to a data object
Add sample Data Records to the Account data object by using Autopilot.
Task 3: Create a new Persona
Create a new Persona for account holders by using Autopilot.

Detailed Tasks
1 Generate the Case Type, Case Life Cycle, and Data Model
- Log in as an Application Developer:
- In the User name field, enter author@productonboarding.
- In the Password field, enter rules.
- In the navigation pane of App Studio, click Case Types to generate a new Case Type.
- Click New to create a new Case Type.
- In Create Case Type dialog box, use the Autopilot suggestions to select the Case Type name.
You can also enter a custom Case Type name in the Name field.
Autopilot can provide different suggestions each time based on the input and context. - In Build Life Cycle and Data Model? section, select Use Autopilot to suggest a life cycle and data model.
- Click Next.
In the current environment, this process can take a few minutes until the system connects to the Pega GenAI provider. - In Add stages and steps – Product Introduction Process dialog box, review the Stages and Steps generated by AI.
At this point in the Case Type creation process, you can review and modify the Autopilot recommendations for Stages and Steps to match the workflow defined by your project stakeholders. - Click Next.
- In the Review Autopilot suggested fields for Product Introduction Process dialog box, review the fields generated by Autopilot.
- Click Submit.
In the current environment, this can take several minutes. Wait until you see the generated Case Life Cycle. - Review the built Case Life Cycle workflow and Data Model.
- Click Save.
2 Add Data Records to a data object
- In the navigation pane of App Studio, click Data to display a list of data objects in the application.
- Click Accounts to open the data object.
- Click the Records tab.
- Click Generate sample data with Autopilot to generate sample records.
- In the Number of sample records field, enter the number of sample records that you want Pega GenAI to create.
In this example, Pega GenAI will generate three sample Data Records. - Click Submit to add sample Data Records.
- Review the Data Records.
- Click Save to commit the Data Records to the data object.
3 Create a new Persona
- In the navigation pane of App Studio, click Users > User management to view the list of Personas affiliated with the application.
- Click Add to create a new Persona.
- In New Persona dialog box, use the Autopilot suggestions to select the Persona name.
You can also enter a custom Persona name in the Name field. - Select an avatar icon for this Persona.
- Click Submit.
- In the navigation pane of App Studio, click Case Types to add the created Persona to a Case Type.
- Click the Case Type you created in Task 1 to open it.
- In the Personas & Channels section, click PERSONA to add the created Persona.
- Select the Persona you created.
- Click Save to save the Case Type.
