Extension of the Constellation UX library
The Pega Constellation design system provides high-value UX patterns that are easily configurable in App Studio. By using the out-of-the-box UX library of Constellation, you can achieve the quickest time to value, consistency across the application stack, fewer errors, and less custom code. As a result, you build for an "outcome" instead of a "particular UI."
Inclusion of your own Constellation component
If a particular outcome is not easily achievable in App Studio, professional front-end developers skilled in React and web technologies can build a custom DX component. There are three types of custom DX components: widget, control, and layout template.
For example, a custom DX widget component can programmatically assemble the Constellation core components in different ways to create something new, such as a new UI widget.
Custom DX components can then be published back to the server for use in low-code authoring in App Studio.
