Learn how to add and manage users and other configuration settings in Pega Process Mining.

During initial configuration, it is helpful, though not required, to add items in a specific order. Calendars and Process Skins are optional features, but if you plan to use one or both of these features, you might want to add them before you add User Groups. When you add User Groups, you have the option of associating any existing calendars and Process Skins with the User Group.

User Groups are required. People assigned to the Users role only see Views shared to the User Groups to which they belong. When you add users, you can associate them with User Groups, so it makes sense to create the User Groups first. The following figure suggests a task order for initial configuration:
A diagram suggests adding optional Calendars and Process Skins, if used, and then adding User Groups and finally users.

NOTE: If you are not yet ready to add items such as Calendars and User Groups, you can always add users first and then edit the user details after you create those additional items.
