Pass-through authentication

Pass-through authentication for Citrix

Pass-through authentication allows Citrix to authenticate a user by transmitting the user’s Windows credentials to the server. This authentication occurs when a request is made to an application installed in a Citrix environment.

You can configure Pega Robot Studio to use pass-through authentication if it is enabled in the Citrix environment. Set pass-through authentication by changing the Use Passthrough Authentication field in the Citrix context properties to true.

As an alternative to pass-through authentication, you can explicitly provide a user name and password in the Citrix context properties. You must also set the Use Passthrough Authentication field to false.

In production, the typical configuration is to use pass-through authentication. During development, however, your development machine may use different credentials than those configured in the Citrix environment. In this scenario, you manually set the user name and password fields to test your solution before deployment, and then revert the settings to use pass-through authentication for deployment.
