You can save a Process Map as a BPMN reference model.

Prepare the Process Map
  1. In the Process Map that you want to save as a BPMN model, update the map to reflect the standard path, such as by using the following filter method:
    1. In the Top Traces section, select the traces that represent the standard path for completing the process.
    2. Click Filter.
    3. Select Filter selected trace(s), as shown in the following figure:

  1. After applying filters, verify that the Process Map shows the standard path that you want to use as a model.

    For example:

    In the following figure, the Process Map shows a standard process that includes all of the required activities in the expected order.

Save the Process Map as a BPMN model
  1. At the top of the Process Map, click the BPMN button:

  2. Click the Save Model icon, as shown in the following figure:
    The Process Map shows the process in BPMN format and displays a Save Model icon in the upper-right corner of the map.

  3. In the Save Model dialog box, name and optionally describe the model, as shown in the following figure:

  4. Select the Save method that you want to use:
    • To save the model for later use, click Save.
    • To save the model and immediately run it as the model to analyze violations, click Save and Execute.

    Result:

    The following figure shows an example of the result when you click Save and Execute:
