Analyze metrics to understand efficiency, complexity and friction in tasks by using the Tasks feature of Pega Task Mining.
Accessing the Tasks page
After running a Task View, click the Tasks icon on the toolbar, as shown in the following figure:

Tasks page
The Tasks page includes Overall Task Metrics and also metrics for each individual task to help you analyze task data. The Task List and Task Views refresh hourly and include the top 80% of activities that make up the task.

The Overall Task metrics at the top of the page are calculated scores for Efficiency, Complexity and Friction as well as an overall performance score. Each score helps you to gain high-level understanding all tasks:
- Overall Score
- The overall health of all tasks, based on the efficiency, complexity, and friction scores of all paths in the tasks along with other criteria.
- Efficiency
- Indicates the amount of waste in all tasks. This score compares Production and Other Work time to total time.
- Complexity
- Shows the variability that is required to complete all tasks, including total applications and screens, unique applications and screens, and number of steps.
- Friction
- Indicates how much interaction is required to complete all tasks. This score is based on the manual data movement, key presses, clicks, and scrolls. Lower scores indicate higher levels of friction.
All score categories are based on a 100-point scale with 100 representing a fully optimized category.
In addition to these metrics for all tasks, each individual task also has individual scores for each of these same categories, but at the individual task level.
Searching for a task
You can use the Search field to find a specific task of interest:

Viewing tasks in a Process Map
When you find a task of interest, you can click the View as graph option to view the task in a Process Map.

After you click View as graph, the system shows the task in a Process Map View so that you can use additional analysis tools to analyze the task:
