Work Group management

With Pega Robot Manager, you can organize your robots into work groups to meet specific business objectives. Each group of robots works on dedicated work assignments categorized by assignment types corresponding to the work group.

The Work group landing page provides information about the work group details and access to that work group's functions, controls, and performance metrics. Select Unattended RPA > Work groups in the Robot Manager menu to access the Work group landing page. The main page displays all existing work groups, and you can add, remove, or edit them, as shown in the following figure:

Select the work group name to display more details about the particular work group.

Creating robotic work groups

Create a new work group when there is a new significant business objective to be covered by your robots. For example, the customer support company defines two work groups to handle requests: service requests and inquiries. After upgrading the company policy, customers can also report incidents dealt with in different scenarios. In this case, the new work group and assignment type must be added.

You can create a work group by clicking the Create new button on the Work group landing page.

Note: For more information about creating work groups and adjusting the new group settings, see Create work group.

Modifying work groups

You can modify the details of your work groups using the Work group landing page if the work group is directly associated with your current application. The edit form allows you to change the name of the work group, the names of assignment types, or how your robots prioritize assignments. Use the More icon and select Edit to open the edit form.

Note: For more information about modifying the work group and adjusting the priority settings, see Modify work groups.

Deleting work groups

When you no longer need a robot pool working on the specific assignment, you can delete the work group using the Work group landing page. You can only delete work groups that do not have running assignments and robots associated with the schedule. Deleting the work group will also delete the related assignment types.

There are two ways of deleting the work group:

  • Use the More icon of the work group.
  • Delete the work group from the work group details page.
Note: For more information about deleting work groups, see Delete work groups from landing page, and Delete work groups from details.
