Creating a child Case

Create child Cases to model work that different parties perform, work that follows different reporting options, work that follows different reporting frames, and work that is common to multiple Case Types. Model your Case relationships with a Case hierarchy that contains top-level Cases (also referred to as parent Cases) and child Cases.

After completing this module, you should be able to:

Create a child Case during case processing.
Propagate data from a top-level Case to a child Case.
