Scenario
One business requirements detailed by GoGoRoad stakeholders is that they have access to a report that identifies the number of Assistance Request Cases created over the past month.
As a System Architect on the project team, you are tasked with defining the report that tracks the status of Assistance Request Cases submitted over the rolling 30 day period. This report should be created as a table-based Insight and as a chart-based Insight that display the number and status of requests.
As a new System Architect, your Lead System Architect provides you with a collection of technical documentation links to help you get started.
The following table provides the credentials you need to complete the challenge:

After completing this challenge, you should be able to:
- Evaluate business requirements to determine the appropriate data visualization approach using Insights.
- Analyze the data structure of a Case to identify the essential fields needed for meaningful reporting.
- Create a table-based Insight in the Explore Data tab that effectively organizes Case data based on business requirements.
- Create a column chart-based Insight in the Explore Data tab that displays data based on business requirements.
- Implement appropriate visibility settings based on business requirements.
- Apply appropriate columns, grouping, and filtering techniques to ensure an Insight displays requested data based on business requirements.
- Generate a custom Insight using Pega GenAI.
Detailed Tasks
1 Use Insights
Read the technical documentation provided to complete the assigned tasks. The technical documentation might have more information than you need.
Acceptance Criteria
- There is a table-based Insight that displays the number and status of Assistance Request Cases submitted over the last 30 days. The columns for the table include: Label, Case ID, Create datetime, Create operator name, Service type, and Work Status fields. The table should be grouped by Work Status. The table should be filtered on the Create datetime field for the relative period on or after the last 30 days. This Insight should be visible to the public.
- There is a column chart-based Insight that displays the number and status of Assistance Request Cases submitted in the past 30 days. The chart should display the count of Cases based on Case ID. The dimensions should be Work Status followed by (Day) Create date/time. This Insight should be visible to the public.
Directions
- In the Pega instance for the challenge, enter the following credentials:
- In the User name field, enter author@gogoroad.
- In the Password field, enter pega123!.
- Using the Explore Data tab, create a table-based Insight based on the information detailed in the Acceptance criteria.
- Using the Explore Data tab, create a column chart Insight based on the information detailed in the Acceptance criteria.
