Report configuration in Pega Robot Manager
Reporting in Pega Robot Manager™ uses Elasticsearch to process reports faster. To facilitate reporting in your application, set a dedicated Search
or Universal
node for quicker indexing of records from the Pega database to the Elasticsearch data store. Then, enable collecting Pega Robot Runtime data in Robot Manager.
After enabling reporting, use the Reporting landing page to configure data aggregation intervals. To maintain application performance, clean up unused robot operational data and statistics periodically by adjusting the auto-archiving and auto-purging settings.
Pega Platform settings required for reporting
During installation of Robot Manager, Pega Platform™ enables all settings required for reporting by default. To check and confirm the default Dev Studio settings for reporting in Robot Manager, see Setting up Pega Platform to use reports in Pega Robot Manager.
Pega Robot Runtime settings for reporting
Pega Robot Manager extends Pega Platform reporting features to enable the creation and editing of reports containing robot-related data. To enable the collection of data used for reports, update the Runtime config file by enabling the PublishToRobotManager attribute. Robot Manager accumulates data concerning the operator and the organization to which the operator is assigned.
In the header of Pega Robot Manager, click Settings > Runtime configs to access the runtime configuration file. For more information about the Runtime settings that are required for reporting, see Enabling the collection of Pega Robot Runtime data for reporting.
Reporting settings
The Reporting landing page contains settings for ingesting, archival, and purging of the data in your reports. The ingest settings determine the aggregation period for the reporting data. To store the reporting data for a set aggregation period, enable an ingest interval (hourly, daily, monthly, or yearly). Use the archiving section to exclude certain data from your reports and move it into a separate archive table. If your organization no longer needs to maintain data after archival, you can purge the data and remove it permanently.
