Report management
Pega Robot Manager™ offers administrators a reporting system to communicate the performance of the robotic workforce to stakeholders for applications based on Pega Robot Manager. The reporting feature is based on the standard Pega Platform™ reporting feature and includes reports that are specific to robotic automation. If the provided reports do not meet your needs, you can extend the functionality and generate custom reports containing robot-related data. After you create reports, you can update and edit them to meet your organization's requirements and business objectives. For example, you can change the report category or modify the report stakeholders.
Custom reports
Custom reports visually represent the selected aspects of your robotic workforce, such as financial profits, business impact, or periodic health reports of your robots. You can create a new report on the Reports landing page, as shown in the following figure:
For more information, see Creating custom reports.
Custom report statistics
Pega Robot Runtime periodically collects data from the robot and sends it to the Pega Robot Manager with the configurable interval. You can create and edit custom reports using one of the following robot-specific data sources:
- Health statistics: Use the health statistics to monitor your robots' behavior and operational state. When creating this report, you can use the following properties: Package Loaded Date Time, Runtime Login Date Time, and Runtime Start Date Time, in addition to the user, package, and runtime information to present the desired data.
- Exception statistics: If your robot encounters fatal exceptions, you can prepare a report with that information. The exception message, type, and date information are available when creating exception reports. You can also access the exception stack trace.
- Usage statistics: The usage category collects information about the number of automation invocations, the duration of a particular automation, and the total duration of invoked automations, including subautomations. It also provides you with the average duration of specific automations and all processed automations. You can aggregate data by hour, day, month, or year.
When creating a new report, you can select how to present collected data, including a list, summary, or chart. The following figure shows the example report of a list type:

Edit reports in Robot Manager to adjust them for the specific business needs of your organization. You can modify various aspects of your reports, such as the report category, duration, and recipients.
Arrange reports into purpose-based categories and make them publicly visible so that your stakeholders to find the desired report quickly. For more information about the visibility of reports and reusing report categories, see Changing report category.
To enhance the clarity of your report, you can customize the column names to express the presented data better. For more information about editing the names of the columns in reports, see Customizing report column names.
For time-based reports, you can modify the time units in the duration fields to meet specific requirements. For instance, you can aggregate data in seconds instead of minutes. For more information about editing the aggregation period, see Changing the default time units for calculating duration.
Ensure that automation development teams, product owners, and other stakeholders are up-to-date with the current status of your robotic workforce. You can create a task to automatically run a report at a specific time and regularly distribute that report as a PDF or XLSX file attached to an email message. Use the steps described in one of the following documents to share reports in your organization:
Note: Keep your report directory updated by deleting any unnecessary reports.
